June Day ceremony 2026

We were delighted to welcome back 50 Former Pupils and 4 Former Staff Members to this year’s June Day celebrations which took place on Monday 1 June. Some Former Pupils were recent leavers from the Class of 2025, whilst for others it had been a bit longer since their return to school having left Heriot’s in the 1950’s.

Fortunately, the rain didn’t dampen the festivities and our Founder, George Heriot, was remembered by a wonderful ceremony on the lawns followed by a lovely and moving service at Greyfriars Kirk and then refreshments in the Staff Room (Old Refectory).

Former Pupils recalled memories of their own June Days and other memories from school, including favourite subjects such as Sport and Drama as well as fond recollections of teachers during their time at Heriot's.
