Ursula and John Guy
Ursula and John Guy

John Guy (1959 and his wife Ursula visited from Toronto yesterday: it was wonderful to welcome them back to school!

John joined in P1 (into Jean Redmund’s class) in 1945 (a few months short of his fifth birthday). His father, a Foundationer at Heriot’s, had just left Scotland to become a Sergeant in the Air Force during the war and returned in 1946. John left Heriot’s in 1956 at the tender age of 16 to find employment and support the family.

He remembers Norman Irons and Alan Haxton from the same class and remains in touch with both of them. John has supported the Foundation for many years and it was wonderful to welcome him back to school.
