Douglas May KC FRPS (1964) has had one of his portraits selected to be exhibited at the Scottish Portrait Awards in Photography, run by the Scottish Arts Trust 2023. 

The portrait of Lord Burns was inspired by the judicial portraits made by the late Grace Alison FRPS in the 1950s but made in a contemporary style.

The Scottish Portrait Awards exhibition runs at the Scottish Arts Club Edinburgh from 9-30 September, then at the Kirkcudbright Galleries, Dumfries and Galloway from 14 October-14 January 2024, and finally at the Glasgow Art Club in Glasgow from 17 January to 28 February 2024.
