New Herioter President Announced

The Development Team is thrilled to announce the appointment of the new Herioter President, Gilliam Woolman (1982).

Gillian will officially assume office on June Day and will take over from current serving President, Morgan Jamieson (1965).

During a 32 day period, votes were cast from Herioters from class of 1957 right up to 2023, capturing a wide range of ages and views. The backing received for both candidates (Gillian and Keith Downie (1979)) was a wonderful show of support from the Herioter community and showed the passion for electing a new representative.

Many voters chose to leave comments outlining their reason for voting and none captured Gillian’s election more perfectly than the below, from Alastair Laidlaw (1982).

“[Gillian is a] True Herioter and trailblazer in her own right - the perfect fit for our new Herioter President.”

The Development Team is delighted with the election of Gillian as President and look forward to working with her over the next 2 years.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Morgan for his service during his 2 year term as President, and we look forward to welcoming Morgan back to future Herioter events in a less formal capacity!

Gillian's tenure starts from the day after June Day 2025.
