Derek Lambourne (1964) comes back to visit

The Lambourne's

Yesterday, the Development Office was delighted to welcome Derek and Marion Lambourne back to campus.

Derek joined Heriot’s in Primary 1 and left in 1964 to begin an accounting apprenticeship in Edinburgh. Life later took him further south, and he has now happily called Warwickshire home for many years while raising his family.

Derek’s last visit to campus was in 2014 for his 50 Year Reunion. This time, as part of a very special birthday week, he enjoyed showing Marion around the school and reminiscing about the many sporting clubs he was involved in — although, by the sound of it, there were very few he wasn’t part of!

Derek and Marion are spending a few weeks in Scotland and are planning to catch up with several fellow Herioters from Derek’s year group during their stay. We hope you both have a wonderful trip, and thank you for taking the time to visit us.

Best wishes,
The Development Office
