It's a busy campus this afternoon as the whole school gets ready to welcome prospective families to our 2025 Open Morning.

Our Archivist has managed to find an Open Day schedule from 1974 and a Prospectus for the School Session 1886-1887.

When the school changed from a Hospital School to a day school, school fees were introduced and the first prospectus published..

As you can see from the schedule in the photo, Open Day in 1974 featured different events and in school departments from 3pm until 9pm. The Open Day in 1974 included a puppet show, an exhibition of Herioters by Dr Dewar and the 350th Commemorative Pageant of the life and times of George Heriot.
