I am delighted to announce the results of this year’s Qualifications Scotland examinations. In what has been an exceptional year for the school, pupils have attained an outstanding set of awards across the board.

At National 5 level our S4 pupils achieved 97.4% pass rate (A-C) with 82.6% passes at A grade. 103 pupils achieved eight or more straight As.

At Higher level our S5 pupils gained 98.3% passes (A-C) with 79.9% at A grade, the best on record*. In total 113 pupils achieved five or more straight A grades in their Higher exams, a remarkable number.

Finally, and maintaining these exceptionally high standards, were the S6 cohort who achieved 95.4% (A-C) at Advanced Higher Level with 69.2% at A grade, the best on record*. 54 pupil achieved three or more straights As at Advanced Higher level.

This collective accomplishment is a true reflection of the hard work, dedication and personal endeavour of each and every pupil. In addition to the pupils, the efforts of the teaching staff must also be acknowledged. Their professionalism, care and effort are once again borne out through the pupils’ exceptional record of attainment.

The results are indicative of the values we hold as a School and are a superb representation of the culture of care, support, friendship and holistic ethos that provide the foundation of our pupil’s achievements. Many congratulations to all.

Finally, we wish all our leavers who are either embarking upon their next stage of education, beginning adventures across the globe or entering the workplace, a very productive and enjoyable future.
