When Professor Anebella Pollen of Brighton University appealed for any photographic images taken by children in the Royal Photographic Society's magazine Allan Dodds (1962) responded by submitting several images form his time at Heriot's, including the attached gallery.

Apparently, childhood photography is a little-known art form and Anebella was very taken with these images and will be including them in her upcoming publication.

The book is due for publication in 2026 (Four Corners Books) and we will be sure to update you all on publication. 

Allan has recently been awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society, for which we send him our sincere congratulations.
